Gladys Mae (Sherrill) Riddle

   Gladys Mae (Sherrill) Riddle, age 88 of Statesville, North Carolina entered her heavenly home on December 26, 2023.

   Gladys was born in Iredell County on June 9, 1935.  She was the daughter of the late William Earl Sherrill and Rena Leona (Morrison) Sherrill.  In addition to her mother and father, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Milton Riddle, and three brothers Earl Sherrill, Jr., J.C. Sherrill, and Roy Ray Sherrill.

   In life, Gladys chose a career in the textile industry where she worked as a seamstress for many years.  She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

   Gladys leaves behind to treasure her memory, a son Milton William Riddle, Jr. of Statesville, two daughters Linda Haithcox of Mocksville, and Judy Diane Souther of Statesville, a sister Rena Pauline Wooten of Statesville, and seven grandchildren.

   In honoring Gladys wishes, the family will not hold services.
